Pick a winner. Chopsticks. What do they cost? What are they worth? Not much on both accounts. For a domain name, now thats another story. For an $8 purchase, this lucky..I mean educated person just made a handsome profit.
Recently sold domains are bringing stronger money every week, showing no letting up of the climbing market.
But good choices are key, and timing is also a bit of a factor..
Example- lets say you own chopsticks.com, and you put it up at auction. You give it some time, but no promotion whatsoever.
Now, the domain is just sitting there, and unless someone who is related to the chopstick business (manufacturer, Chinese restaurant owner, food chain etc) is on to the auction, the owner of this gem might go unnoticed, and value might tank. But if they owner does a little footwork, lets say a bit of promotion, then you have few bidders…hmm, now you can see how this potential flat domain might actually grow wings, and fly, like this one is..
